Microblogging

Twitter is a wonderful professional development tool! Combined with the blogs I follow in Google Reader, it gives me access to all kinds of people doing great things with technology in education. I have been spending quite a bit of my time outside of work exploring and communicating with tweeters, so I haven't taken the time to post full blog entries, but here is a quote from one of my favorite bloggers. I believe it is relevant to our search for the appropriate approach to technology curriculum.

  1. Alec is my professor for myh ECI 831 class; he is a wealth of knowledge and you have done well to use him as a source.

I agree that Twitter is an amazing resource and I regularly visit to see what new things have been posted. I am regularly sharing things I find through Twitter with my staff and if you haven't done so yet I would encourage you to share the resource with those you work with as well. I have a small group of teachers who are now meeting regularly to share what they are discovering in the world of Web 2.0.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I can be found @kicode on Twitter.
